How do I order a book from Discovering Statistics Using JASP?
To be able to order you must create an account. You can do this during the ordering process.
Will I receive a Track & Trace code?
You will receive a Track & Trace code via email from PostNL when your package is packed and ready for shipment. You can look up when your package will be delivered on the website mentioned in the email.
What do I pay for shipping costs?
The shipping costs are €6,95 regardless of the size of the order.
Who supplies the books?
Smartbooks ships the books on behalf of Discovering Statistics Using JASP. Delivery is done by PostNL.
I received the wrong book, what should I do?
If you have received the wrong books, please contact us by email or telephone. We will help you with your order as soon as possible.
My order is not complete, what should I do?
It is possible that books from your order are not yet available. These books will be sent to you later.
I have not (yet) received my order, what should I do?
You can see online whether your order has been shipped or is still being processed.
If your order has the status 'sent' in your account, but you have not yet received it, first check the Track-and-Trace code you received in your mailbox. If you have not received your order 3 working days after it was shipped, you can send us an email. In order to serve you as quickly as possible, we kindly ask you to include your order number in the e-mail.


How can I pay?
You can pay with Ideal or with a credit card.

Where can I find information about my invoices and payments?
You can view the status of your orders online and view your invoices via my account. Have you forgotten your password? Request it online via forgot password.

How long does it take for my payment to be processed?
Your payment via Ideal will be processed immediately after you have paid online via the bank. Your payment will be processed by Worldline and Boekversellers.com B.V. You can see that you have paid electronically by a statement on the invoice and an email that you receive from the bank.

I would like a copy of the invoice. How do I get it?
You can easily download a copy from my account.

Can I still change the details on my invoice?
You cannot change the invoice yourself (online). If you want a custom invoice, you can contact us by email.

I have returned or canceled my item. When will I get my money back?
We aim to refund returns and cancellations as quickly as possible. If you have not received anything after a week, you can send an email stating your name and the title of the book.

How can I cancel my order?
You can cancel your order during the ordering process. To do this, remove the books from your shopping cart. Have you already paid and still want to cancel? In this case, please contact Smartbooks. Please state your order details in the communication.

I canceled my order, but the book was delivered anyway. What should I do?
If your order has been delivered despite a cancellation, the order was already too far in the process to be able to cancel. In this case, please contact us by email. Please state the order details in the communication.

Which textbooks can I return?
You can return undamaged books in accordance with articles 6, 7 and 8 of our Terms of delivery . Pursuant to the Distance Selling Act, the buyer is obliged to examine upon delivery whether the goods comply with the agreement. If this is not the case, the buyer must inform the seller of this in writing or by e-mail within ten working days of receipt. If it has been shown that the goods do not comply with the agreement, Discovering Statistics Using JASP has the choice to replace the products in question with new products after return or to refund the invoice value thereof.

If you want to return a book, you must enclose the purchase receipt (a copy) with the shipment.

Who pays the return costs?
The costs for return shipments are the responsibility of the buyer.
Return shipments are at the buyer's risk. This means that Discovering Statistics Using JASP is not liable for damage or loss of returned items. Therefore, always ask for a Track and Trace code.

Do I automatically get my money back when I return an order?
If your return shipment meets the above conditions, you will receive the purchase amount back to your bank account.

How much discount do I get?
If you are a member of the JASP Community, you will receive 30% discount on the purchase of the book Discovering Statistics Using JASP.

How do I buy an Ebook?
After ordering your ebook you will receive an activation link from Vital Source. With this link you create your account at Vital Source. As soon as you have logged in you will get access to your Bookshelf where you can read your e-book online.

I did not receive the link, what do I do?
It sometimes happens that the mail ends up in your spam folder. Therefore, always check your spam folder first. If it is not in your spam folder you can click here to send an email.

Can I return or change an Ebook?
It is not possible to return or change a purchased Ebook.

The book I want to order is not available as Ebook.
Unfortunately the book is not available as an Ebook at the moment.

I have lost my access link, what do I do?
If you have lost your access link you can click here to send an email. We will then send you the code again.

What devices can I read my Ebook on?
You can read your textbooks on any computer, tablet or mobile phone. The Bookshelf is compatible with both Macs and PCs as well as iOS, Android, Kindle Fire, and Chromebook devices.

Can I acces my Ebook on more than one device?
Yes, you will be able to download and access your Ebook onto 2 computers AND 2 mobile devices using the Bookshelf app.

Do I have to be connected to the internet to read my Ebook?
No! You can access 100% of your Ebooks without an internet connection. To access your Ebooks offline, you will need to download the Bookshelf app onto your computer, tablet or mobile device.

Can I print my Ebook?
Restrictions around the use of copy & paste and printing are set by the publisher on a title by title basis.

What does ’90 days’, ‘180 days’ and ‘unlimited access’ mean?
Some Ebooks have an option to purchase the book with access for a limited amount of time; 90 or 180 days, for example. You can also choose to buy them with unlimited access. Limited access is available at a lower price.

Some Ebooks are available with ‘reflowable layout’ and some with ‘fixed layout’, what does that mean?
There are two formats of Ebooks, including Reflowable and Fixed Layouts.

A Reflowable Ebook, is also known as an EPUB. The text is responsive, so the font size can be easily adjusted no matter the size of the screen. These books conform to EPUB 3 industry standards.
A Fixed Layout Ebook is also known as a PDF. The fixed layout textbook maintains the look and feel of a bound book—the text is fixed and the screen size determines the size of the text.
Both types of Ebook support a wide range of features, including notes, highlights, text to speech, printing, syncing across devices, and more.
